I was born and raised in Virginia. My first 5k was in …. when I was in 2nd grade. I have ran a TON of races in Virginia since then and will continue to do so because it is home!

Fincastle Run 5k: Fincastle, VA

This 5k was so growing up. It was a competition between the 4 elementary schools in the county. Prizes for the most runners, the fastest team, and most school spirit. I remember the Krispy Kreme donuts after the race.

It stats with an uphill run and rolling terrain. I need to look up the elevation gain. According to my mother, she wanted to be with me during this first 5k but apparently she was going too slow for me and I left her HAH
